Programming at the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre
A brief overview of the current programming at the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre:
Soup and Bannock
Homemade soup and bannock are made fresh weekly and served Wednesdays from 12:00–1:00pm from October 1st until April 30th. A 4$ donation is greatly appreciated but not required.
Help N’ Hand Youth Centre
The Help N’ Hand Youth Centre, provides social, cultural and educational opportunities to youth. Our youth centre serves all youth between the ages of 10-29 years. Other Programming:
Periodically, and pending funding, the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre offers a variety of other programs. These include:
· Craft Classes
· Elders Socials
· Family Gatherings
· Summer Day Camp for Children
· Support Groups / Healing Circles
· Tutor Services
· Babysitting Course
· Skill Development Workshops
· Educational Opportunities in the form of Workshops (Such as: Aids/ HIV, Tobacco usage, diabetes, addictions, etc.)
· National Aboriginal Day Celebrations
· Metis Culture Awareness Campaigns
· Family Day celebrations
· Family Dances
· Drumming, Dancing and Drama opportunities
