SUMMER DAY CAMP
Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre is pleased to announce its 2008 Summer Day Camp. The camp runs from July 7 – August 22, 2008. Enrollment is limited to one week with new intakes of summer camp partipants taking place every week. (If space is available then a participant can apply again.)
The camp will include many traditional and artistic activities, combined with healthy outdoor activities. Some of the events planned are; Cree Language and Childrens Songs, Arts and craft; outings to local facilities such as the Petting Zoo, the library, Sandy Beach; Shadow Puppet Shows, Cree Legends, Metis Jigging; Aboriginal Elders' storytelling.
Weekly sessions are set up in various age groups to assist in planning age appropriate activities. The camp schedule is as follows:
Chipmunks (ages 4 to 6 years) - July 7 to 11 and July 14 to 18;
Wolf Pack (ages 7 to 10 years) - July 21 to July 25 and July 28 to August 01;
Eagle s (agesw 11 to 13 years) - August 04 to Agust 08 and August 11 to August 15;
Joint Wolf and Eagle Week - August 18 to August 22.
Spaces are limited so register your children early. Camp fees are $75.00 per week per child.
